Good music for good people!

Our baby got reviewed

“Four” got reviewed by the fine e-zine altcountry.nl (the translation is done by me and Babelfish, if you find anything wrong with it you’ll have to live with it). We got three and a half running horses out of five:

Approximately a year and a half ago we cheered Heartache & Pain, a compilation with alt.country from the Swedish region Jamtland. Now we have Six Figure Transatlantic with “Four“, an ep with five new songs. I don’t know much about “Heartache & Pain“, but leaning on the review of it the songs on “Four” has moved in a pop direction. Not that that is a problem, because even without the banjo sounds, the thoughtful songs of Six Figure Transatlantic are considerably persuading. In “Pink Heart” for example the guitars circle timidly as a couple in love that lost their chance. The singing of the two front men Göran Klensmeden and Mattias Dahl (no idea which sings the lead) is very nice . The not so obvious cover of Cyndi Laupers “Girls Just Wanna Fun” is very appropriate in between the four originals. Six Figure Transatlantic seem to have more than a hundred songs. To bad that we must do with only five on “Four“. But well, better few Six Figure Transatlantic than no Six Figure Transatlantic.

Cowboy songs and mirror balls

Our delivery of four acoustic songs (A Storm is Coming, Isabel, Pink Heart, Last Christmas) at the excellent club Folkvagn Allstars went great. It’s always a little bit weird when Tor and Andreas aren’t there on stage, even though we started out as a duo.

The people in the club were fantastic, everyone seemed to be very nice people. It really was a lovely place.

Thank you all for showing up!
